Party in Playa Del Carmen
What better place than Mexico to have a bachelorette? Playa del Carmen remains one of my favorite quick getaways. Living in Dallas its a short 2.5 hour flight from DFW and you are suddenly in a tropical paradise. Group trips can be hard to plan so here's a bit on my fabulous bachelorette trip.
With a group of 12 girls we opted to rent one house so that we could all stay together. We used AirBnB to book this beautiful home. When booking a home in Playa, or anywhere in Mexico, I'd always try to find a home in a gated community. I have never felt unsafe in Mexico, but paying a bit more for a peace of mind is right where I want to be! Check out this beautiful home, where in stayed, in the gated community of Playacar.
Here's a day by day overview of the itinerary we planned:
Day 1:
Settle in and enjoy your vacation rental. Chose to have dinner served at the house so there is no rush to get anywhere. We decided to hit up the bars in downtown Playa after dinner. I recommend booking transpiration with the manager of the house. Here's a list of my favorite places to hit for a good time.
- Tequila Barrel (Don't be afraid to dance on the bars here)
- Coco Maya (On the beach!)
- La Vaquita (The Cow Club)
- The Dirty Martini (Small but you'll get some great drinks here)
Day 2: Xelha Park
This is a must if you haven't been while in Playa. There are so many different activities to keep a variety of interests entertained all day! Plus, it's all inclusive food AND drinks! I'd suggest getting the photo package, especially if it's a special occasion. You get copies of all photos taken by photographers while you are there. You can see some of the fun photos we took below.

We had dinner at Di Vino, which is one of my favorite restaurants in Playa Del Carmen. I go back very time we visit. Afterwards we booked a table at the very popular cub, Mandala.
Day 3: Yacht
Feeling adventurous and fabulous, then you need to rent a yacht! We used this company and had a wonderful experience. They provided alcohol and food and splitting between a large group they are very affordable!

Day 4:
Relaxation day!! We could walk to the beach from our house so we took the opportunity! Walk the beach, stop for drinks, get a massage on the beach, have lunch and go shopping!
